![]() I couldn't find anyone with the same problem but I've read so many possible solutions so before you suggest something, here is everything I've tried (with no effect): Changing the font style fixes the text problem but the template is still very slow and makes FCP act all weird, so this is obviously not a fix, the templates are still broken and not functional. The font in this particular one is Helvetica, it's not missing or corrupt. The text is all jumbled and looks like gibberish and whenever I try to use one of the broken templates, Final Cut starts freezing and crashing, so it's literally unusable. I had been using some of them for a long time without any problems prior to that. Seem to recall this existing prior to Big Sur, but it sure ain't fixed under Big Sur either.įinal Cut Pro 10.6.5: Broken Generators and Titles So, a while ago some (a lot) of my templates in titles and generators broke. If they were as complicated as Adobe's Creative Suite apps I'd cut them some slack.Īnd, with an absolutely brand new, wiped and reinstalled OS - Big Sur. Mail is crap, Safary barely scraping by - often using Chrome. I use Mail, Safari and TextEdit mostly - rarely any other Apple apps - but these are the bane of my existence. It's not like I'm installing a Type 1 PostScript font from 1998 here. I am using one of Apple's bajillions of craptostic fonts - fonts I cannot self-manage - so there should be no issue here. ![]() ![]() I have them formatted in Monaco - easiest to read, cannot confuse numerals especially.īut, when I wipe an old doc to add new, highlighting multiple lines of text and hitting delete. I have to use this as subcontractors send their invoices in a variety of formats - I need one standardized text-based format of all info. ![]() I have time sheets for all project in Text Edit - all information logged and included with invoices. ![]() This is a simple text editor and it crashes constantly. ![]()
